Our commitment

Redwood Draft Ventilation Co. aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site properly, not an add-on.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML structure with a single H1 per page and a logical heading order.
• A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Text and background colour combinations tested against a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body copy.
• Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image; decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
• All interactive elements reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Form fields with associated labels, and status messages announced politely to assistive technology.
• Animation disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
• Layout reflows to a single column at 320px width without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Some third-party content, such as an external mapping service opened from the contact page, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. We link out rather than embed where that is the more accessible choice.
